First stripe
Most pilots earn it in their first year. Your first hours, first new places and first countries are worth the most, so the first rung comes with flying, not waiting.
Connect, inspire, develop
SkyTribe pulls your flights together from the apps and devices you already fly with. Understand your flying, share what you achieve, and climb the ladder as a paramotor pilot.
Free to use. iOS first. Coming shortly on the App Store.
Every pilot climbs the same ladder of four stripes, worn beside your name on every flight. Scoring rewards early exploration and gets harder as you grow, and each stripe asks for double the last.
Most pilots earn it in their first year. Your first hours, first new places and first countries are worth the most, so the first rung comes with flying, not waiting.
The capable pilot. You may fly a lot or a little, but you fly it well.
The serious, committed pilot. You fly amazing adventures, and you have likely helped many pilots along the way.
The legends of the paramotor world. True all-rounders who fly epic cross countries, inspire and assist others, and can carve out acro manoeuvres.
The Scoring screen explains every metric and shows the points to your next stripe.
Explore is the tribe's public flying, drawn as heat across the world, with your own flights as a layer on top. Search a place, switch to satellite, and plan the flight that takes you somewhere new.
Public flights from paramotor pilots everywhere, on one map. Earn your first stripe and the whole world opens up.
Type a valley, a coast, a country. See at once whether the tribe has flown it, or whether the ground is untouched.
Mountain kilometres, cross countries, new countries and ground nobody has flown all build your Adventure score. The first of each is worth the most.
SkyTribe's integrated acro analyser records your manoeuvres in flight at high fidelity, from the phone in your pocket, and scores them so you can refine what you fly. Skills is one of the four ways to climb, and acro is part of what makes a fourth-stripe pilot.
Wingovers, barrel rolls, swoops and figure 8. Wingovers are scored 0 to 100 by a grader built from real acro data. Barrel rolls, swoops and figure 8 are recorded and analysed.
Start above 2,000 ft (600 m), follow the voice prompts, and finish with a straight glide above 1,000 ft (300 m). Swoops end when you land and stop. No screen needed.
A run that cannot be graded says why: too few swings, or not enough bank. You know what to change on the next flight.
The feed is real flights from real pilots: a fjord in Norway, a first cross country, a long day over the mountains. Photos and clips ride along with each flight, so you see the flying, not just the numbers.
Every card is a flight someone flew, with the track, the numbers and their stripes beside their name.
Add photos and video clips up to 15 seconds to your flights. The fjord from the seat, the launch field at sunrise, the landing that went to plan.
Your feed leans toward the pilots you follow, your close friends and flying near you. Follow the ones who stretch your idea of what a paramotor can do.
Paramotoring is learned from other pilots. SkyTribe gives you a way to find them, follow them, and give something back.
Follow the pilots you learn from. Their flights lead your feed, and their profiles show their stripes, their totals and their best flights.
A one-way list you control, with nothing to accept. Share the flights you keep for close friends only.
Like, celebrate, fire, wow or support any flight. Comments for the questions you would ask at the field.
Thank a pilot for mentorship, support or inspiration. Each thanks builds their Wingman score, which is how helping others counts toward stripes.
SkyTribe does not replace your flying app. It pulls your flights in from wherever you already log them, so they get a title and start counting toward your stripes.
Link your account on Garmin's own sign-in page. Flights from your watch, StuFLY included, arrive on their own after each sync.
Share any .igc, .gpx or .fit file from your favourite flying app, zipped Garmin originals included.
Link your xcBrain device with a code from the app.
The same flight from two sources is spotted and kept once. Every flight gets a title from where and when you flew.
Every flight replays in 3D over real elevation and satellite imagery. It is a nice way to relive a day, and the easiest way to show a friend what that fjord run looked like.
Elevation and satellite imagery draped over the ground you flew, so the valley looks like the valley.
Follow your own wing from behind, with your height above ground as you go.
Distance, duration, altitude, speed and climb, computed for every flight.
Being part of a tribe does not mean showing everything. Every flight has its own visibility, and your launch field can stay yours.
Public, Close friends or Private, per flight, with a default for new uploads.
Public flights join the community heatmap without your name attached. Private flights appear nowhere but your own account.
Hide the first and last five minutes of a flight from others, so your launch and landing stay off the map.
Your profile carries your name, photo, bio and home base, with your stripes beside them.
Straight answers, no small print.
Yes. SkyTribe is free to use.
No. Keep flying with your favourite app or your Garmin watch. SkyTribe pulls those flights together to help you understand your flying, share it with the tribe and develop your capabilities. The one thing SkyTribe records itself is acro, through the integrated analyser.
Straight from the apps and devices you already fly with. Link Garmin Connect and watch flights arrive automatically after they sync, or share any .igc, .gpx or .fit file into SkyTribe, zipped Garmin originals included. If the same flight arrives twice, one copy is kept.
Your stripes are one number, 0 to 4, from your total score across Experience, Adventure, Skills and Wingman. Early flying scores fastest and every metric has a ceiling: the first hour is worth four times the four hundredth, and the first new country four times the last. Each stripe takes double the points of the last, so a fourth stripe in practice needs more than one way to climb. That is why four-stripe pilots are all-rounders. The Scoring screen shows exactly where you stand.
Climb to 2,000 ft (600 m) above ground or more and press Start. Secure your phone, glide straight, then fly your sequence when told. Glide straight again above 1,000 ft (300 m) to finish, or land and stop for swoops. Wingovers are scored 0 to 100.
Open their profile and thank them for mentorship, support or inspiration. It shows on their Scoring screen as gratitude, and it is how the tribe recognises the pilots who bring others along.
You decide. Each flight is Public, Close friends or Private, and you can hide the first and last five minutes so your launch field is not shown.
SkyTribe is built for paramotor pilots. The ladder, the acro analyser and the community are all designed around powered flight.
SkyTribe is an iPhone app.
Both, plus an Aviation preset. You can also set distance, altitude, speed, vertical speed and area one by one.
Yes. Add your wings and paramotors, props included, and tag them on each flight.
Nobody gets a fourth stripe alone.
Bring your flights together, see where the tribe flies, and start climbing. SkyTribe is free, and full of surprises.
